It is nearing the end of January, our first full month here and I have to say that the ministry here is wonderful. Thanks to Dennis Posterick, our solar system is working well and the trailer has the right hitch that fits the back of our 1990 Toyota Landcruiser which we bought for travel in the bush. We spent our first five days in the bush at Pastor Pengd Wendy's church with the trailer and it worked out very well. Tonnie had a teaching time with the women and they were very blessed. We did lots of counseling and teaching.

We had a leadership conference at Pastor Boukary's church in Ougadougou. The first day 85 people came and they were so excited that they wanted to come back that night for prayer, 11 were baptized in the Holy Spirit that night. The next day 145 people came and again God moved mightily with revelation and healing, again they stayed until midnight. Sunday morning, the presence of God moved in a wonderful way and touched the people.

Sunday, a pastor came in wanting us to minister one Sunday at his church but since we are booked for the whole month of February, he had to ask one of the churches to release us early for a Sunday service at his place. The pastor said “No way”, so we went there Monday morning and ministered to him and his leadership for a couple of hours. Again, God moved upon them with Kingdom revelation and the change that He desires for their ministry.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, January 28 we drive south to Tingandgo for five days of ministry to minister at Pastor Matthias’ church. He has invited other neighboring churches to join as well, we are looking forward to ministering there.

Travel here is something else, the roads are basically dirt paths that look like they have never been graded. Ideal terrain for dirtbike racing.

So far two flat tires, we will need to bring some tires from the USA for the truck because the tires that are on it are not the best and the local tires are poor and very expensive. We really should travel with two spare tires here.

We are doing the will of God and have the right equipment to do it. Thank God for the great openness to the message of the Kingdom of God.

Mission Update 2-10-09

Pastor Boukari is telling us that revival is continuing in the church with healings and deliverances taking place. They had their first service in their new church and it is already too small.

Last Sunday a lady was healed of a bad leg that she could not walk on. Another lady was healed of an arm paralyzed from the shoulder.

We were also at Pastor Matthias’ church for five days where great excitement is in the church but haven't heard much else.

Pastor Jonas just stopped in to thank the Lord with us and for the change that is coming in his church. He told us people basically came to church and wanted their name there when problems arise so they can call on the pastor to fix it and also to make sure that their funeral is going to be taken care of with all the last-minute expenses. Today people are coming declaring what God is doing in their life, giving their tithes with praise and thanksgiving and expectancy of God's blessings to come.

The first day we were in his church, there was a lady named Rosalie who would not even look up. She sat bent over on the bench, so during the break we went over to her to ask her what was wrong. I asked her to look in my eyes, something broke within her and with loud cries and deep sobs she cried out, “Jesus, Jesus”. After the day of teaching, we prayed with Rosalie through all the abuse in her life from her mother at home to all kinds of sexual abuse. We saw her steadily change and by Sunday she had the most glorious smile and sang a song about no matter how big your problems, Jesus will save you and help you through. What a thrill to see such a battered life totally brought into joy and victory. Another man with epileptic seizures came up, he was set free and on Sunday brought the items of witchcraft from his house.

Please pray that the fires of revival may continue to hit the bush churches.

Mission Update 2-23-09

Two weeks ago, we were at Pastor Elijah's church in Sapone 2, had good times teaching with revelation flowing freely for the people, during the evening movie time and 240 people got saved.

Last week we were at Pastor John's church in Sapone 1. He studied in England at a bible school so he interpreted for us the first day. The next days he had to be involved in a funeral away from the church, so we had madane Sankara back again. She is a pastors wife and an excellent interpreter.

Again powerful times of teaching, the hungrier the people the more the Spirit of God will allow me to get into. The evening outreaches with the Lespoir movie and two others brought 460 people to the Lord. The total number of salvations stands at 1,755.

There is such a necessity for faith to arise in the Word of God, for poverty is the norm. The men and women generally eat one meal a day, the children eat two meals and when the men are at the conferences they are not making any money so we end up helping with the cost of feeding the people after the morning service in some instances. Rice is very expensive at $40 for 50 kg.

Days are getting hotter and we have no problem keeping the batteries charged with our solar panels as long as we clean them of the red dirt that is ever blowing around here.

This week we are teaching 45 kilometers north of here in Samba at Pastor Joel's church to mostly widows for three days, coming back on Friday afternoon. Then we will be bringing the truck and trailer to Pastor Pengd Wendy who has built a garage for it. On Saturday evening we will have dinner with the pastor who wanted to have us come to his church, but was too late to get on the schedule.

Sunday morning we will go back to Pastor Bukari's church where we get to preach on our last Sunday here. We look forward to our time with them since the revival is still continuing there.

Then we will be on our way to Holland next Monday, March 2 arriving there on March 3. We look forward to some rest and relaxation there with family and to wonderful ministry there as well.

We are so appreciative to God our Father and the Lord Jesus for the grace and strength and for the Spirit of wisdom and revelation flowing in the meetings and for your prayers and support in standing with us in the bush and making all this possible.--

Jan and Tonnie Bosman
