In the Summer of 2008 I (Jan) had the opportunity to minister in Indonesia for almost a month here are some of the highlights:

July 5, I flew to Singapore for ministry in a number of locations beginning with the island of Batam, a half hour ferry from Singapore. Had a breakthrough the second night in the Pentecostal church of Indonesia, from there to a pastors conference and ministry at a home church in the evening.

Next morning Pastor Edwin Richards and myself boarded a flight to Jakarta and from there to Gregorio at Tangerang where we had ministered two years ago. Sunday morning to a GPS church in Jakarta west where we had a wonderful breakthrough from dead religion in the freedom of the Holy Spirit and in worship, many caught the fire. Ministered in a church called Bethel where after preaching on forgiveness and worship there was a mighty stirring of the Holy Spirit on the people with tears and even spontaneous healings, after the meeting we found out that many had been deeply hurt and were walking in bitterness with a previous leader of the church. There was great healing as they chose to walk in mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.

This was a trip with many divine appointments. The first one came Sunday evening when we met with a pastor Sammy from the island of Sulawasi, (formerly Celebes). He asked us to come over and minister to his people in a crusade and pastors conference, we told him we would seek the Lord about it.

The following morning we were to meet a lady in the women's prison to pray with her. She used to be a Regent, over Sulawasi something like a governor here. She was convicted for something that had happened in a business she had years ago. When we arrived at the prison we were just in time to see her step in a police car for a doctor's visit at the hospital. She has a private guard who arranged for us to step in a second squad car to follow her to the hospital. Once at the hospital after a short wait we were ushered by the guard in to the office of the psychiatrist. This was a wonderful opportunity, for we could minister to her in great freedom, she proved to be a precious woman of God. The doctor asked for prayer as well as her personal lady guard. There was a wonderful Presence that came in the room, then the lady (whose name we will withhold) asked us to please go and minister to the people in Sulawasi, formerly Celebes, where she also has an orphanage, and she would pay for our flight there and back to Singapore.

After extensive ministry to the church in Tangerang especially to the leadership to start taking in their place of responsibility we felt released to go to Celebes.
We flew to Manado where we were met by Pastor Sammy and pastors from various churches. We had some time before the first meeting in the evening so they took us to a restaurant where we could sit outside yet protected from the sun. The lady owner asked us to pray for her, then she brought in the cook who really got touched by the Lord. Before we left there we had prayed with nine people in absolute freedom in the place, again there was a tangible Presence of God that moved in the place that other guests couldn't help but notice. We ministered that same evening in Manado in an outreach to the churches. From there we went to Poiga the place at the coast where Pastor Sammy has his ministry. We had a Pastors Conference and radio outreach to the whole area. Then we had an evening crusade where the Lord ministered wonderfully to the local community with many getting saved and healed. It had started to rain in the afternoon and it looked like the crusade was a wash out, we prayed and took authority over the weather in the name of Jesus and it dried up shortly after.

Pastor Sammy's ministry is on 250 hectare right on the ocean, he has a school that is free to the community where the local children are taught English as well as all about Jesus along with the normal curriculum. His ministry, which is greatly respected by the population, Muslims as well as Christians, is self supported, he has pigs that along with the meat also will produce the methane to provide electricity for the area. He grows rice, coconuts and other crops and fishes the ocean for financial provision.  There is just a wonderful atmosphere in this place which was begun by Dutch missionaries decades ago Pastor Sammy joined us when we went to the orphanage to pray with the children, what a wonderful time in ministering the Fathers love.

From there we went to minister at Pastor Jopie's Church at Bitung. This Pastor and his wife had gone through the tragedy of losing their son in law through an accident. He was the one he had trained and groomed to be his successor in the ministry over this very large church involved in a building program. It took the wind out of Pastor and he is obviously still recovering of the loss. Also there was a little four year-old boy that lost his daddy and even though the Lord allowed him to see his daddy taken to heaven by angels, he was in an emotional shut down and had not laughed since. Met them later in a shopping mall and then had an opportunity to pray with the little one for that spirit of mourning and heaviness to be broken off.  We had many other opportunities for ministry in the area before leaving for Singapore for one last meeting in the church there where we again had a real breakthrough by the Holy Spirit.

We ministered in numerous other places in personal ministry and churches and the Lord again and again proved so faithful to bless His people with healings and salvations.
